SS#2: 7 timely questions for my solar friends

It's a time for mince pies and self-reflection

This is the point in the year when most of us in the solar industry reflect and recharge.

We are often extremely busy throughout the 12 months of the year, and 2022 seemed to be on another level all together. If you can find 15-20 minutes to reflect on the chaotic year of 2022, I am certain it will help you gain that much needed perspective and clarity. If nothing else, it will give you (I think) some satisfaction of a job well done.

Here's my seven open questions for all of my friends in the solar industry ...

Reflection

  1. What went well for you this year?

  2. What challenged you?

  3. How do you feel you handled those challenges?

  4. How would you handle those challenges differently if they happen again?

Outlook

5. What needs changing/adjusting/deleting for next year?6. What's your vision for next year? What would you like to see more of? (Business, pleasure or both)7. What challenges can you learn from in 2022?

You don't need to reply to me, I'm not a life coach in any sense! I am happy to hear your views and opinions on this. I am often found on LinkedIn and very happy to chat.

I've asked myself these 7 questions.

My year was quite erratic/dynamic/stressful/challenging/rewarding (I couldn't decide which one but all definitely apply). This is mainly due to supply and demand issues in the industry causing us all a lot of pain and frustration at every level. It also afforded an opportunity for me to review and rebalance my personal desires and ambitions, leaving Enphase to launch a new venture or two (including my solar consulting business).

So, how was your year?Re-read the questions if you can't identify with something. This is a time to ponder.

Now you can enjoy your festivities (whatever that may be) knowing you are recharging your internal batteries in preparation to 'go again!'.

A message to everyone involved in solar in 2022: Bloody well done!

All that is left to say from me: Merry Christmas to you and your family.
